Reflection

There are so many aspects in which my understanding of research has been broadened. I have learned the importance of validating all my research. I have learn the many different aspects of equity and ethics within my research. I learned all the amazing amounts of data that can be collected and ways to collect it. I learned alternate ways in which to collect data and avenues in which to take to find the information needed. I learned to use a process ask myself questions such as: what will I research? Who will the participants of my research be? Where will I conduct my research? Will my research use qualitative, quantitative, or mixed method? I feel that having the equity of your research is very important. Everyone is entitled to their perspective on things; however, one’s perspective doesn't ensure adequacy. In fact it may show blemishes and flaws in which no other can perceive.

What are some of the current international research topics?
The amount of Early Childhood Development research topics in Sub-Saharan Africa were profound.
* In Zambia they have started a pilot program for an orphanage.

What surprising facts/insights/new ideas about early childhood did you gain from exploring this international early childhood website?
The Zanzibar Madrasa Preschool Program (MPP) has formed a community based preschool where they train teachers and take care of the children in the community. This project is dedicated to educating teachers and building their community.
* In Ghana they have a program that insure that teachers are properly trained in the newest and latest trends. The do all their trainings on sight.
* I also found that they strongly focused on social and emotional development.

In Tanzania I found that they have a virtual university where you can earn your early childhood degree online in three years.
