What I have learned
I have learned so much this semester. I am looking forward to using my growth in these areas in my walk as a professional. I have grown in so many ways. I hope to be able to use what I have learned with the families within my care. In my class I have 13 Spanish children that come from all over the world. I enjoy learning about their cultures and ways of life. I plan on using a lot more of their ways of life in our everyday class room experience. This week in their homework assignment I asked families to add what traditions that they may celebrate and do in the fall. The responses were amazing. I really enjoyed seeing how different each student is. My goal is to include more journals and more family traditions within the classroom.

Week 6:
In my experience I have witnessed quite a few people that have told a child to "sh" when they point out a person with special needs. I myself have stopped a child from making a scene about someone that was different. I feel that a professional teacher could deescalate the situation in the sense of explain, "yes remember how in class we talked about people that are in wheelchairs? Do you remember how we had so many questions about how they used their chair as transportation?" There are many other examples that we could use to try to control this situation in a positive way.
