Quote

William Arthur Ward
“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”
William Arthur Ward
I really feel that this quote sums up the type of teacher you are or want to be. You have the choice in what type of teacher you are.

“I never teach my pupils, I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”
Albert Einstein

I like this quote because I believe if you teach thru a learn thru play atmosphere it is the best way to ensure learning in preschool children.

“Teaching is only demonstrating that it is possible. Learning is making it possible for yourself.”
Paulo Coelho, The Pilgrimage
“You can't really teach a kid anything: you can only show him the way and motivate him to learn it himself.”
Dave Cullen, Columbine

This is so true because I feel that we learn best when we find out for ourself.

  1. I really like that quote by William Arthur Ward. To me, it illustrates the difference between good and great teachers in addition to motivating me to always try to be better in order to inspire others. Also I like how you related Albert Einstein's words to teaching through play. I couldn't agree more that children learn best through their play.
