Relationship Reflections

Relationship Reflections
I have many different types of positive relationships in my life. My relationship with my parents now is very different than it was when I was a child. I have always had a close relationship with my family; however, until I became a parent I didn’t know how much I valued their opinion. I call my parents between four and six times a day. Sometimes it is just to catch up and see how they are. Other times I call to ask how to cook something or ask if they can help with my children. We often spend a lot of time doing things together such as shopping, going to church, or cooking together. I have a positive relationship with one of my sisters she is my world. My other two siblings however I am not very close to. My sister Julie and I call each other between three and six times a day as well. Our children are close and we live within walking distance from each other. If I ever need anything I know that I call her and she will come.
When it comes to friends and relationships I have a really hard time because I have really bad trust issues. I think I also have a hard time communicating or finding people with like interest. I have one friend that I have had for about years. She is my best friend and she lives with me and helps me with my children. Her name is Kelly. We do almost everything together. I have about other people that I would consider friends. I just don’t do a lot with them. I see them almost every day but we don’t hang out a lot. I have six friends that I have known since kindergarten. I guess that you would consider them my childhood friends. We stay in touch, share pictures, and often check up on each other. I haven’t seen most of them in years.
When it comes to relationships I have been single for two almost three years. I have had a hard time getting over my ex so moving on isn’t really in the question yet. I have a really hard time trusting people.
Then there are my relationships with the children within my classroom, their families, and the people that I work with. I have a very strong relationship with all of these wonderful groups of people. I often lose touch of my personal life trying to keep all of it together. I feel that have a positive relationship with all of these groups is very import when it comes to your career.
